Lol 40 is just a base, lol ill ride into the teens. Just not quite there. but sopposed to be ok this weekend so im gonna change jets and beg for gas money. Guess ill forget this thread.
i ride the 1: 40 premix since 20 years in all my bikes it always worked well ... in 2000 as i bought my gasgas ec 300 i did what the manual said and tried 1: 50 with the motorex oil, that i was sponsored from in these days. it costed me a new set of crank bearings and i had luck, only the crank bearings were gone ... it makes a loud eeeeeeeeekkk and the engine stand still ... took new bearings and switched in the same time to motul oil ...no more problems since this day...
later today when i find enough time i will work again with the kx500 to eliminate the detonating-problems...
