Apparently.  All the 6.7 was blue rec. 07 and up.   09 they locked out the ecu (no programmers)   Just the badge blue tec floated in n out.    They all are sensor emissions nightmares

Shame. The 6 speed auto has good reviews

absolute shame.

5.9 great motor,   the 4 speed.   CRAP.

6.7  not good motor,  the 6 speed  great.

why the hell cant any ONE manufacture get it all right in one shot?!

I can confirm how bitching the 6 speed in the dodge is......great tranny, sucky motor.  I ended up hauling the company trailer with a 2012 duramax dually......good power, good tranny.....my only dislike about the duramax is that it sounds and feels like a gas motor.....To me the chevy trucks have always felt very "car like".....As far as the fords go.....

Love all the engines from 7.3l and earlier but hated the automatic trannys......I wish the 6.0l never existed but the 5 speed automatic was pretty good.....the 6.4l that they came out with had good power but was very fuel thirsty........this new 6.7l is super powerful and the tranny is awesome....but they are expensive and you have a complicated nightmare under the hood.

By the way,  every truck I am speaking of I have driven and towed with......I am not going off of "tribal" knowledge, or "I heard from a buddy" crap.....
I once heard my buddy Bill ask Danny Hamel after a race....

The 6.7 is pretty well the same as the 5.9 commonrail. Siamese bore & longer stroke really only dif. I can see what your saying about emissions though. The d-max has an awful lot of external balance weight after mid 05. 04-very early 05 is okay but after that they have a crank breaking & piston splitting rep that is deserved over 650 hp anyway.
if I only had a pair, I could actually ride this thing

Why the hell would you need or want to bump one up to 650hp.

Because those are the same dudes that are doing stupid stuff like this to their trucks to drive them in the streets

Yup, there's a Ford under there somewhere.........but then again, there are men falsely imprisoned due to an imperfect legal system........ :-D

tempting   one owner truck out of reno NV.    as long as its not a #53 block motor

NV4500 5 speed     cummins.   4x4   62K miles.     larame package (leather)  with a 3.54 axle ratio (good for what I will use it for)

hate the white out package (white bumper grill etc)

anyone near roseville that can look at it for me?

I'm getting sick of towing a little trailer with my jeep, so I am considering a truck.

I'm a little more poor than you however...

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Those old fords are great I had a 73 with a 390 that I drove the piss out of most of the time pulling a concrete pump and about 350 feet of hose even with a cracked piston, the 79 was a 460 and it was a beast if that truck tickles your fancy go for it parts are cheap its easy to work on and with no rust its a no brainer.
