Fork Spring Swap

I thought this might be good info to share.  I needed some heavier fork springs for my '92 so I traded springs with a friend.  His 2002 KTM 300EXC springs match up exactly to my '92 springs (plus the stock spacers). We got the idea by comparing the race tech part numbers. Cam.

Masure carefully if you do this.  On my new springs (Race Tech .46 from a KTM) for some reason (Quality Control?) one spring is .040" smaller diameter than the other. Not sure why.  I will have to shave the plastic spring guide (inside the fork) a bit to make it fit. Easy to do but unexpected. Cam.
