The best description I can give. since im not good at storys.   of the personality of the entire event, and everyone there.

Imagin Pulling up a lawn chair to a camp fire, with all these guys around, drinking corona somewhere in baja.    Just talking and Telling storys.    That was the way the entire evening was..   Just good desert people. If you didnt know who they were, you wouldnt know it wasnt your own family.

Too cool. What a fun time and a once in a lifetime event. The seat was icing on the cake. BSing with those guys would be fun and an education. So much experience there! Thanks for sharing.
When my brother and I were drag racing heavy back in the 70's there was a near by block prep and crankshaft guy that was very well known. We had gone to pick up parts and ended up BSing with the owner of the shop, Don Prudehomme and Don Garlits for a half an hour. Walked away saying "Did that just happen?" They were just a couple of guys into racing though they were at the top of their game at the time. Asked us about OUR cars and set ups. Crazy.

This picture was taken by my buddy Mark "Kato" Kariya......He is a well known photographer and rider whos work has appeared MANY times in all the popular magazines......He snapped this shot of Dave Pyle "downloading" KX500 information into the brains of Motorrad and USMC500.... :-D

I once heard my buddy Bill ask Danny Hamel after a race....
"How can someone who looks like a high school band tuba player go so d**n fast on a bike?!"

He said to us "What I am about to tell you is going to end every rumor about the KX500 you have ever heard........first off the wide ratio tranny (EVERYTHING HERE HAS BEEN AUDITED AND REMOVED BY TEAM GREEN C.I.A FOR YOUR PROTECTION FOR IF YOU KNEW THIS INFORMATION YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE KILLED) and that's how we were able to make the KX500 last for 1000 miles at wide open throttle"............. :-D

I agree, that was really mean...
Funny thing is I still have a cylinder that say's "Oscar" on it.
There are a few mods I've been wanting to try but didn't want to ruin my test cylinder  :-o

If I sent him a new air filter he would just run his bike lean...  :-D

...hmmm...than add also a 225 main jet . that was the biggest ive ever seen, from a 250 that was used at the legendary beachrace in le touquet / france . this jet will be no way to lean for him...  8-)

wow........I'm glad that I'm friends with so many fine gentlemen that don't hold a grudge....hahahahaha

Motorrad will post up some of the topics that were discussed as some point......I think that Motorrad understood many of the technical terms more than I did.

And the only reason I seized my motor is because I got my main jet and pilot jet reversed...... :-o :-D
