Oh well, having all that cool factory tech wouldn't make me any faster.... But my bike would look cooler and really it's all about the bling  :-D

They machined the cases to fit the larger plates and shimmed the mounts to take some of the stress off the frame.

wrong.

that's how Im going to do mine.

so again.

how did they make it so that bike fit.

Mine Too???? :-D
I once heard my buddy Bill ask Danny Hamel after a race....

nice idea, but you need tons of these worksparts, because there are no spareparts available for replacing.   :-D

as my buddy gerald started to work as mechanic in the worldchampionchip he works first at "de´groot-kawasaki" the official factory team... than later at "rinaldi-yamaha" also the official factory-team and racing & development for the production parts... actual he works  at ktm as the mechanic of ken roczen ,the fastest guy, that i ever seen..
and gerald told me everywhere he was working, the old worksparts (worn out or never needed new parts) would be destroyed at the end of the season, that they cant fall in privateers hands . the reason is: in wrong hands they could damage a production bike , and they never could replaced and would bring a bad image to the manufacturers ...

Everything, but I'll settle for whatever you would like to share that you haven't already...  :-)
You mentioned that they used custom cases with oversized main brgs and trans brgs... was there anything else they changed on the cases such as crank volume, balancing, custom cranks... Pistons, porting, squish, ect..
