Im about to buy a 1999 kx500 in SoCal with temecula motorsports stickers(if anyone knows this bike say hello).

Did 99 KX500's come with gray frames or only green?

They came in Kawasaki green.  I believe 03 was the first year for the gray frames.  They also changed the forks to gold from gray.  I have a 99 KX500 that I bought used.  It now sports a darker than stock gray frame.  Good luck.

Thanks for the info. The guy selling me the bike says it a 1999 but it does have the same factory color frame as the 03's. My guess is its a new frame, maybee a good thing or maybee the bike was thrashed and they did a crappy job of putting it back together!
