Fuel Filter for the K5
« on: July 04, 2013, 12:58:45 PM »
I just picked up a 2004 KX500 and noticed it did not have a inline fuel filter. I pulled and checked the petcock and no filter either. I went to the parts diagrams and no filter in the catalog. Talked to my local dealer and they said they did not come with one. :?  Hmm, Ok I tried to fit a Visu Conical and a Briggs and Stratton round style inline filters , but there is not enough room and the line kinks. What is everyone running? for a filter?

at most motorcycle shops or probably even auto shops they make a 90 deg inline fuel filter that will work with a desert tank.
The 2-smoke runs deep in this one...

Thanks for the reply. I did see that Visu-Filter has a 90 Degree filter. Looking for one now. That one should work.

Thanks, already have those and there is not enough room for the straight one. I'm getting some of the 90 Degree ones.
