Looks good MadDog...  nice and light.  Time to polish it up like chrome for the bling factor.

 Looks very professional, Nice work.
My two cents on it is, Everyone be careful attemptin to fab up your own. Any protrusions in this area can cause serious injury. A bolt that is too long, a sharp corner, or even that mount can cause a serious wound in a crash. There has been more than one guy get laid open by anything that sticks out in that spot. That mount looks like you had that in mind, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

hillclimb, hey thats a really good point about the crash danger. i did have that in mind when i built this mount, and anything i ever build for my atv's or bikes is smooth edged and rounded corners. i know that in a crash your body ends up hitting parts of your machine that you wouldn't think possible under normal operation. i crashed pretty hard a couple of times at the dunes this summer and came away with no cuts, just bruised ego! :-(     MADDOGGY

js, if i mounted the flagholder on the other side it would stick out the same amount. if i flipped it over it would get into the seat. MADDOGGY

Question for you.... did you use the existing bolts in that location?

Or did you have to find some slightly longer ones?

i used the exsisting bolts, however the stock length is barely long enough. i plan to replace the stock ones with some new bolts 1/4" longer. i can't find any bolts that are washer flanged like the stock ones so i may have to weld a washer on and do some precision grinding to get that stock look.   MADDOGGY
