I have a kx500 1985 engine which i am rebuilding, i have a problem with the gearbox. (i bought this engine in parts in a crate)
(i am testing the geabox with engine cases still separated)
when i set my star on neutral, the dogs of the second gear from the right on the output shaft are engaging the most right gear on the output shaft.
I have examined my shift forks, and did notice one (which controls the gear which is causing the trouble) shift fork has '42' marked on it while the rest has '1' marked on them.
Can this be the cause of the problem?
