If you hold the throttle on longer, and brake less, you got it  :-D
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Well, if you gotta go down, taking everybody else with you gives them something to talk about after the race  :-D

lol you will get all kinda of odd looks, it's really quite cool. been racin mine in mran this year and every race (me being only 20) these older guys will walk up to me and start talking about how they used to have one in the 80's, really interesting hearing other peoples stories from before my time. Then you get all the younger gen 4 stroke guys that come up after the race surprised on how you got the hole shot on a bomb start in a gravel pit lol...
The 2-smoke runs deep in this one...

Just remember to short shift the 5 Honey and keep in it in the torque band, save the power for the straights and your brakes aren't as good as some of the other guys out there. Have fun

well it was 1 1/2 hr race through the woods that was nothing but pure red clay slop.. i pulled the holeshot on everyone and lead the race for about 40mins until my arms tightend up on me and i started making a few mistakes.. over all i ended up 5th out of about 30 riders...I deff had a good time and learned a few things to make the next race better for me and hope to run again in 2 more weeks....

not bad for my first race ever in my life..

i did have lots of people come up and ask me about the bike and some even said i was crazy to be riding it... i just laughed them off and said SHES deff a fun ride..

Nice!
It's always good to see a bike that was designed 25 years ago stomp on modern tech  :-D

5 out of 30 is a GREAT ride for the first time out! I would be quite proud of that. Not to mention leading for a good portion of it. On a 30 year old bike?!?! Excellent! Congratulations!

put the right rider on a kx500 and he kicks the ass off all 450-4strokes on the track...  :-D ...  i´m not the fastest rider in the open class mx, but getting the hole shot with the one and only k5 between the 4strokers is my goal of the day...  8-)

thanks alot guys... i was soo pumped this was a Dead engine start And i beat all the electric start KTM's.. i had the bike in 2nd gear and the clutch pulled all the way in, one big boot from the very top and she fired off and i just let her Eat!!! soo much fun, fixing to order them lower dog bones from Eming racing to help the bike turn a lil better in the tighter stuff..
