Hello from Brazil!
« on: June 27, 2013, 05:02:41 AM »
Hi everyone!

I bought my 90' Kx 250 about 6 months, because was an old dream, have a green 2 smoke!

She works well, but her aesthetics is so bad.

I already has attended the forum for some time, but only now I decided to register, to show you my bike and ask for advice, to improve it.

The problem is here, in Brazil, we don´t find parts for this bike and buy outside the country is very expensive due to tax for new parts.

I used it most of the time at the trails, and she´s amazing! I love it!   :-D

Thank future suggestions and is a pleasure to be part of the official KX community!

Sorry for my bad english... Brazilian english... kkkkk

Thanks a lot!

Sorry no one has responded....sometimes it just takes us awhile to get to newer posts.

It doesn't look too bad...not sure how far you want to go with it as far as making it better....but,the best way would be to totally break it down and start looking at all your pieces/parts and see what's worn, and what needs to be replaced.Give it a good greasing, and have the suspension serviced, and it should give you a couple years of fun!
Excuse me, ma'am...but you've got extremely nice legs!!!...what time do they open???                                                                                                               https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8tCgN3aryQ

:-(

Sorry man, if I'm not working I'm riding.  Most of the time it's close to 100 degrees, we've had a break in the weather.
It's been and going to be 88 for the high for a few days.  Time to ride.
Welcome to the site.

Welcome fredlages.
I fixed your link so we can all see your pic.
This is the big riding season so posts can be slow.
If you have a specific set of questions please post them.
It make it easier to answer once we know what you need.
When you have time, post some pics of your riding areas..
Again, welcome!

Welcome fredlages I'm one of the Americans here. The summer is filled with more riding, so probably a few people away from the computer. I should be riding but I'm trapped at home due to a house move. Show us pictures of where you ride if you can. I would love to ride from USA to Brazil some day and see the Southern Cross for the first time.

Thanks to everyone!!!

The information about old KX is extremely rare here, and this forum helps me a lot!

I have many questions... The first is: The side panels of my kx is extremely bad an is from honda xr 200. I want to know if the side panels and rear fender of other kx years are compatible with the 1990. Do you know?

Foxx4Beaver
My dream is to put the green as new, but here we don´t find the parts and the taxes is too expensive to import. I look everyday at ebay, searching for good used parts.

I will take some photos and post here. And if someones come to ride will be a pleasure!

Here is what the book says:
GREEN SIDE COVERS- FITS 90-91 KX125 AND KX250
GREEN - FITS 90-91 KX125 KX250
As for the side covers I do not know if other years will fit besides what I listed above.
The rear fender can be used from many different years of KX.
You will need to modify them to fit but they will work.
There are several rear fender swaps on this site:

i think the 93 rear fender and the newer kdx side panels could be a great optical update for the 91 kx...  :-)

hmmm...  the sidepanels in this offer looking like the´92-93 kx 125/250 sidepanels...maybe a wrong pic  :|, cause  the kdx is more similar to the ´90-91 kx as to the newer kx-models. the kdx-panels are diferent like this :

for kx-plastics you could also look here... www.nightmare-racing.com ...  he sells plastics for all older kx since 1974--  :-)
