rebuilding old bikes is often a way full of adventures in finding good used parts...

in my case with my 83 kx250-rebuild it was very hard .. i just bought this bike 2010 in bavaria for 150€, the owner doesnt know the right year , complete disassembled, worn 2.and 3.gear , missing the carb, later i´ve seen that both fork legs were bent  :|  and at this time i had my newer-bikes-knowledge and knew only ebay-germany and even the kx-dealers for getting parts. i had to learn so much and to find the guys that offers new and good used parts for old bikes.

later with my kx500sf- projekt i found this site and many new knowledge of the great guys here..  :-)

now with the 87-project it was easy to make in ten days... the bike had a good base with an fresh top end, the usd-forks, original forks and 2.engine without cylinder .the exhaust pipe was badly worn. many needed parts i had in spare like the frontbrake-master-cylinder, wheel- and linkage-bearings and tyres. the half of the rebuild-time i was waiting for the ordered spare-parts that came from netherlands. last part came the day before the first planned race on june 2. 2013. :-D
so it was real fun to do is in the short time  8-)
then the raceday was an mud- and hard-rain-disaster, but thats another story... :-D
