As my parts are coming in to assemble my engine, I have been going through and inspecting things before I start to assemble. My clutch basket is pretty worn, and showing grooves where the fiber plates ride against it. My spare clutch basket is not showing them as bad, but still showing them. I know that these will stop the clutch from disengaging all the way when the lever is pulled, so can these bee filed down and smoothed out, or is replacing the clutch basket the only way to fix this?
