« on: May 25, 2013, 03:56:49 PM »
Thanks for any help I get identifying this carb.
It's from a 1989 KX 500 not sure if its stock or not.

By the way: It has a 152 with a star to the left of the # for the Main Jet.
It has a star 58 for a pilot jet.
Are those good jets?

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Sandblaster I thought the stock carb from 96 on was a 38mm?

Is this not true?

its hard to tell the difference between 38 and 39. all the measurements i find are the same for the 2.  do I need to know FOR SURE which one it is to buy a rebuild kit for it?

or does the rebuild kit for a 38 and 39 equal the same thing?

Thanks,
