Was the length the same? I have a shock off a 2012 KX450. The is @ 11mm longer than the stock shock. I have a shop that can shorten it to the right length, was wondering if your was the same as stock length. Thanks, Bob

quite some time ago (several years) I had put a 250f shock on a kx 500, the clevis was longer, I cut it down and redrilled the hole  making it the same.  I think I also switched the clevis from the 500 shock to a 250f shock for a buddy, that is a bit trickier because you have to get it positioned properly or your rebound adjustment won't work right. Right now I'm using an Ohlins 250 2t shock on my 500 in the 05 250f chassis works really well

wait doesn't the exhaust get in the way of the 250f shock? imean what kinda exhaust system did you have on the kx500 if you had a 250f shock on it?
