oil from spark plug hole
« on: May 14, 2013, 03:35:17 PM »
WAS adjusting my K 500 today idle and air screw . Adjusting air screw like I read on here. Backed it out till revs went higher . Had very good throttle response . Very crisp . All of a sudden it ran wild , couldn't kill it with the switch . Turned the fuel off , several seconds later ran out of fuel and stopped. Had oil dripping out of the spark plug hole with the plug still in it . Took apart top end and carb to check for damage , everything looked fine . Put it back together ran ok . It sounds different after the rebuild. Went from a single ring piston to a two ring piston. Before rebuild sounded different, barely touch throttle front wheel up in the air . Not now . Exhaust valves open and close correctly . Everything in motor stock . New reeds and Pro Circuit pipe an muffler and Moose Reed Spacer . Going to post video in a couple of days running to get different opinions .
