Moab, UT March 2012
« on: March 24, 2012, 11:24:38 AM »
I rode Moab for the first time,,, absolutely love this area,,, will be back someday.

Lost the clutch on the K5 so it was a good thing we brought quads for backup.

We arrived in snow but it warmed right up the next three days.

Great company.

The slickrock was so fun,,, traction like a cat on carpet. Hell's Revenge Trail just east of town was the best but a very popular mountain bike area, I recommend riding this when mt bike traffic is minimal. The mt bikers were all very cordial I have to say. S.E. of here was another slickrock trail called Fins & Things, excellent trail too.

The Sovereign Trail N.E. of Moab about 12 miles is a great motorcycle/atv riding area.

Good to hear from you maddog

Its only 2 1/2 hrs to the east of me you'd think I could get out there to ride, never have though . Was there much in the way of sticker police? Did you get checked to see if your bike was legal I mean. I've never tagged any of my 2 strokes & really hate the thought.
if I only had a pair, I could actually ride this thing

& to the people I like  FYYFF

We rode on Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thur, no sticker check. My guess is it was the slow season and not so much of any kind of policing due to the slower time of year. I made a special trip to get all mine tagged for this year.

Great places to eat. Fun town to hang out in.

I love it down there in Moab. I live just a few hours north of there. Between the slick rock, the nice dirt trails, and occasionally some dunes it honestly is one of the most all around good places to go riding! Love it

Just a touch green...  been in that area 2 or 3 times on week-3 week long field trips hiking around, drooling at the riding possibilities the entire time.
