« on: February 10, 2013, 01:47:08 PM »
so im buying a new swing arm for my 2004 kx85 and i was wondering can i buy a kx100 swing arm to put on it, would it fit right on the frame and would the 85 suspension linkage fit on the 100 swing-A? and would the 85 brake caliper fit on the 100 swing arm

I just bought a 2001 KX85 and was wondering the same thing.  I've heard about a big wheel kit and thought it was the swing arm and wheels that you would change.  Bought the bike for my son recently and has taken to it so well that i thought instead of buying a new one when he grows, I would get the longer swing arm and taller wheels.  If anyone has done something like this or knows what parts interchange.

kx 85 and kx 100 the only difference is the size of the cylinder and piston. all else is equal.

between small wheel kx85 and big wheel kx85, i know so far is only the size of the rims and tires. swingarm might be the same. you can also build a kx100 with small wheels..  8-)

´83 kx250, ´87 kx250 (with 360 big bore), 87 kx500, ´93 kx500 sfc

I have a swingarm from, a 98 kx100.
If you want measurements, let me know and I will get them.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Ya, measurements would be great!  If thats the only differenceits a cheap up grade on the cylinder and wheels.  Thanks for the help.
