It pains me to ask this...
« on: October 20, 2004, 01:20:10 PM »
Fella's, I hate to do this but I've been out of work for a while and doing odd jobs to stay afloat. If you could find it in your heart / wallet / whatever to toss a donation to my paypal account I'd greatly appreciate it.

The site is coming do for domain re-registration and it's running monthly costs aren't the cheapest. If I have to choose, I'm going to eat before I pay the site fees as I'm sure the rest of you power hungry vultures would

I appreciate anything you want to donate to the cause (site not me)

pbr@bishopproductions.net is my paypal account.

Paul,
I'm willing to contribute.  What amount of monthly costs do you have to cover to re-register and maintain the site. Cam.

Paul, I'd also like to contribute to this site too if I may. Please let me know what is needed to keep afloat, as I've found tons of information on this site that would have costed me thousands to find out from the dealers. :-) anyway, shoot me a PM or e-mail @ gabeowen@earthlink.net if you don't feel comfortable posting what is sufficient to keep afloat or what you would need.

Thanks for such a great site!

Gabe

Bandwidth and disk charges have been averaging $50 a month and the renewal is $8.95. It's not much but considering everything else It ranks kinda low unfortunately. I don't like pop-ups and I don't charge Monkeybutt nor Randy @ Motoworks for banners.  Anyways, if you can spare a couple bucks until my luck changes that would be awesome.

Paul,
I was wondering about corporate sponsors.  Being a member of this site gives me a pretty good feeling about green machines and vastly increases the likelyhood of me buying green again and again. Like many members, my wife & kids all ride and need to be on green machines as well.  That should be worth something to Kawasaki of North America.  Drop me a PM or carrc@mail.ocis.net if you want to discuss ideas.  I agree with Gabe that the info I have learned from this site has saved me thousands (and still more to come).  If we could work out a scheme where some of the willing members could donate a small amount on a regular basis it might work out as a long term thing. The reg & monthly costs seem quite low, heck if we all gave up one starbucks coffee a month it would do the trick. I sincerly appreciate all the time and effort you and the others have put into this site. Cam.

How in the world do you put money on a Pay Pal account?  Never done it before.  Paul, if you can send me your address, I'll just slip a little cash in an envelope to help.  I know I have not been as active as usually, but I have been rather busy, so probably behind in helping folks out.  However, I still enjoy the site, and would hate to see it go away.

I also agree with the corporate sponsorship.  There are several products that get a lot of PR on the site (Scotts, Ty Davis, IMS, just to name a few) that might be willing to kick in for advertising.  There certainly should be a way to show folks the number of plugs they get on this forum.

Paul,
I'm sorry to hear the situation and have been there before, i will send some money each month beyond the site cost as avalible, and knowing that most bikers in general watch out for each other  "ON and OFF " the trail/course,  sharing problems , solutions and good times,  I know I wont be alone.

Errrrrrrr, I don't really know the score with Paypal :?   never used it yet, gonna have to sort it out cos then I can send you some cash cos this site is such a good source of information and I really should join Macdizzies again also.

Paypal doesn't send your info onto other companies does it? as at the moment I get NO junk e-mail and would like to keep it that way.

Mind if I sign up for Paypal I can also buy KX bits from the US as Ebay UK never seems to have any bits :)

I will sort something out.

Regards Scott
