Anybody used a Wossner connecting rod rebuild kit for a KX500?
« on: February 19, 2013, 10:10:26 AM »
Many on this site have switched from Wiseco pistons to Wossner Pistons.
But has anyone tried a Wossner connecting rod kit?
http://www.wossnerpistons.com/products/product-details/id/WOS-P2039/name/wossner-connecting-rod-kawasaki-kx-500
Just curious about the weight, longevity, ect especially compared to the stock rods.

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

It seems that some other dealers have these rods in stock.
I'll have to see my crack agent and see if he can get them now...

When I talked to Wossner they were not planning on making any more.  Sounds like we need to start a petition!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys. Hate bumping a 11 month old thread, but got some good infos...
Called Wossner and guy said they have 50+ of these rod kits (p2039) on the shelf ready to go.
Have heard good things about the wossner stuff, so glad to hear these are still available and we're not forced to go with hot rods junk or $ OEM!

Bought a Wossner rod kit from my recreational supplier (Alward25) and sent it to Todd at http://www.pinsonnaultracing.com/ and had my crank rebuilt, welded, trued, and balanced  :-o
One more step closer to my next engine build.
