Hi from a kx500af uk rider
« on: January 31, 2013, 11:54:00 AM »
Hiya, never been on here before, im a fairly novice rider from the uk. I own a sh kx500af and I'm just tearing it Down for a first refresh! I'm pretty mechanically minded but never torn down a complete motor on my own before, the general condition looks great on the motor, it's on original bore and stock piston, I've chose to run a wiseco and I'm planning to get it replated before I put it back. I love the bike and can't wait to ride it again.

Nice project.
On your images all you needed to do was use the "Insert Image" button for each image

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

It doesn't seem to give me that option on my phone, maybe I'm just been special but never mind! I love that bike the service Hondas and kx500s are rare as rocking horse sh*t over hear! Was lucky to find a genuine one as I'd heard of a few home built ones not panning out well. To be honest I can't pick a single fault with mine! Apart from needing a refresh and some bling!
