CPI pipe
« on: December 20, 2012, 07:42:25 AM »
Check out my new CPI pipe, this thing is amazing doesn't have the bottome end of a pro circuit or FMF but has wayyyy more mid top. you will note how much bigger the pipe out of the cylinder is

and you can remove it easily

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Looks like it's made with some pretty stout gauge steel too.

Its all relative, I've spent way more for less HP, the claim is 9hp over the procircuit and fmf on top end, there are no broad hp gains its all mid top, good for a duner maybe the desert to vulnerable for a trail rider

I see it is for your AF. I just finally found my AF roller. Will he need the bike in the future for building the pipe?? or did he save the design somehow??

he told me that he would need the bike because none of the AF kawis are built the same. after further discussion he did tell me he would sell me the pieces and I could finish welding it my self. The cone section is huge.

Thats what I used on the 550, it really works, the steel does seem thicker. I was still able to dent it up good though. ID KX500 I'd think you could get it & just reflange as it's a cr500 low pipe which most af build pipes are based off of. I had to persuade the stinger tip to get the angle I wanted, just used a fence post pipe set in cement to get it were I needed it.

The - is the welds look a bit bird s**t for the cost & pilot jetting with it really seemed screwy.
Did you experience any jetting issues don46 ?

Wow, that is a killer mongo looking pipe !  Love it ! That pipe must allow a wicked bark ! What does CPI recommend for a silencer ? On my KX500 kart pipe built by  Joe Pinsonnault,  the pipe outlet was 1.25" so I had to do some machining to my kart muffler to allow the large dia to flow correctly.

I'm using an FMF, the stinger was modified, larger and longer.
