It goes on a little funny and is easiest if the subframe is loose and all the mounts.

I cant seem to get it to not touch the coolant elbow coming out of the cyl and it is reel close to the sub frame
I used 2 crush washers I am starting to think I need less so it will go into the cyl. farther.

It comes close, but does not get very hot there.  I checked it with an infrared laser thermometer and was in the safe zone temp wise.  One crush washer.

I will remove a crush washer and see what that does.
Did you have to move your kicker? I am going to have to move it back 1 spine so it dosnt rest on pipe I hate to lose stroke on kicker but cant see any other way.
I am already loving not burning my leg on my FMF it always seemed to hang out farther .
I do see that when installing the compression release you need to angle them towards the front I aligned mine with the water elbow and it wants to rub the tank I had to grind a flat spot an the knob to get it to work .

Thanx again for all the parts it sure looks cool  I still have to put the forks on but may have to burn some gas first.

My bike had it on it so I am not sure.  I just lined up the kicker with where the recessed part of the tank is of it.
