Mine are the same size Motorrad. Mine are made by FTD products, but it looks likes Zip Ty's spacers are the same size for both sides pf the KX500 as well.

How are the dimensions different? Perhaps they shimmed the drive sprocket and wheel slightly to avoid chain rub issues?  Does the sprocket look as if it has been turned down on the backside (side facing engine)?

havnt looked..   the way I noticed... was going to put my spare wheel in (paddle)..   and my wheel spacers were SHORT!. Hmmm..

bunch of PM's back and forth to sandblaster (Mr cross refferance).     and playing on Parts fich on service honda... I realized... Mine doesnt match any of them..

My wheel spacers are 2 differant sizes,

one is about 10mm and the other 14mm    (stock they are both 19mm)..

The center ribs on mine are machined down..   I know that.

I cant figure out what would cause the spacers to be differant..   as the wheel seals still sit flush..

Hmm.. just had a thought...

okay just walked out back to look at my 87..     same hub...      so they ran a earlyer hub on mine (explains the 2 differant wheel spacers now).....         But why the extra machine work?!   all I can tell is it would be for looks...

Well, that explains that mystery :-)
The 86-88 KX125 KX250 KX500 used a hub that was embossed with: R-1158 ?
86-87 were black, in 88 they went grey.
They all used 20MM axle.
Measuring from the outside of the bearings to the outside of the bearings is 144-145MM
That is 14-15mm Wider then the 89 and up hubs...
If you had said that first it would have saved me from looking through my junk piles....
  :-D

Yeah, what I meant was the original 86-88 KX's were embossed.
We know that your factory team greenie weren't.

Those aren't my junk piles  :-D
If those were my junk piles I would get them out of the weather, disassemble, clean, inspect, weigh, measure, photograph, price, and sell them all!!!!
With all the EPA regulations, those junk piles are becoming a thing of the past..

May or may not have any relation to the way Team Green did thrings, but the factory mx bikes had larger rear axles(usually titanium)...  When I was working at a Kawi shop in Daytona, a guy had one of Ward's practice bikes on ebay- I ran the VIN through K-dealer, and there was Wardy's name and address right there.. What tipped the guy off was when he went to buy wheel bearings and they wouldn't fit. Perhaps the practice bike had an aluminum axle? Like I said, may be of no relevance...
