I've never owned a "newer" Chevy...I do have a few friends that own them, and a good mechanic friend....the only bad thing they say about them,is the trannys are junk...unless you get one with the Allison tranny.
Excuse me, ma'am...but you've got extremely nice legs!!!...what time do they open???                                                                                                               https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8tCgN3aryQ

thats my problem as well... Newest car I own (that I bought) is a 1972 chevy.    from there I go back to 1967 land cruisers etc in the driveway..

My only newish car is a 1997 buick Lasabre... because it was free and had 60,000 on it..  (and gets 30mpg)

I drive an 04 F-150 with 132k....and had to have minor tranny work done on that as well at 105k....it really does'nt matter what you get when you buy used...it's all a gamble.Knock on wood....my F-150 has been a REALLY good truck to me.

It might turn out to be a very reliable truck.I can say from experience...that Chevy has a far better motor design and alot more power than the Ford.

I had a 08 2500HD LTZ with a 6.0, key phase there is had.
Loved the trk hated the motor. That being said I own a enclosed trailer sales company here in Maine.
I have a trailer on it 85 % of the time. I also haul a 24ft plus the v, with 2 legend cars in it, 8000 ish lbs 15k mi a year. The motor had no torque, till you turned it 3500 plus (watch fuel tank empty) great power at rev none down low. It was great by itself, but a 1/2 ton would do better.
I replaced it with a 2010 2500 HD LTZ with a duramax, it gets WAY beter mileage WAY.
Gas trk 14-17 by itself, 7.5-8.5 towing.
duramax 17-21 by itself 12.5-15 towing.
That's my real world experience.

We've rebuilt 1 6.0 due to negligence, the motor rocks awesome design & seals. With the 6.0 it should be the 4l80e which is a 4 speed turbo 400. Make sure its not the 4l65e as thats just a 700r4 which isnt really a truck trans if you ask me.  The duramax / allison is better if you do alot of towing but that 6.0 should be a nice setup
if I only had a pair, I could actually ride this thing
