coolant leaking from exhaust port
« on: November 04, 2012, 08:52:01 AM »
Hello,

I have coolant leaking from the exhaust port on my 91 kx500.  I'm trying to figure out what the next step is.  I tried searching the site but was unable to come up with anything.  Thanks, Greg

Pull the head, more than likely the head gasket is shot.Don't just replace the gasket and call it good though...really take the time to look over the head and cylinder for anything unusual. You will also need to lap the head and cylinder to get them FLAT or a new gasket will just blow again.

Don't cheese out on the gasket either!!...go with Cometic,or OEM...or again, you'll be doing this all over again much sooner than later.
Excuse me, ma'am...but you've got extremely nice legs!!!...what time do they open???                                                                                                               https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8tCgN3aryQ

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
