Took the 89 apart and found all 3 steel powervalves? Is this normal, I thought they were aluminum? Any help is appreciated. Bob

my 01 has steel power valves i think. not sure if they thought alm ones would hold up? id ask sandblaster or motorrad they would most likely know for sure, i believe one of them has a detailed manual for the 5k as well.
The 2-smoke runs deep in this one...

I wish I had a cool detailed manual.
All I have is thousands of pics from bikes I have parted out, a shop manual, and a ton of interchange info I have researched:

Hopefully this will help clear up a few things:

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Let me know if this is better.
