kx500 head
« on: September 30, 2012, 04:06:41 PM »
I have a 95 kx500 that runs like a top. I picked up a spare head off of a 2003 at a swap meet for a good price. I am wundering if there would be any advantage  of putting the newer head on my bike or are they the same. Thanks

The book says they are the same and I have found no discernible difference.
I would take your new head and send it to Larry to have the Compression Release Modification and get the squish angle changed.

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
