Complete teardown.
« on: November 13, 2012, 02:05:13 PM »
How hard would it be for for me to split cases and put new seals it in. I've done post on and rings before . But nothing like this. How many special tools would I need ?
My choices are my voice. Was a little boy who dreamed of becoming Bob Hannah .

Make sure you got a manual and dive in,Use ziploc bags to keep little bits together as your taking it apart, for example, keep your clutch pack in one bag, your case bolts in one bag, your tranny in one bag etc...once you have it tore down you can go back and inspect each bag one by one,it really makes it easier instead of laying the whole engine out in front of you,You will need a flywheel puller and case splitter,a steering wheel puller works just as good for splitting cases,Thats the only specialty tools you should need
