Swingarm extensions?

I've been wanting to get mine extended for a long time haven't found any where around me that'll do it with out charging an arm and leg for it. There's a member on here that has his done where he can adjust it from stock to plus 6. The few places that said they would do it for me only wanted to put it to a set length where it wouldn't be adjustable. I know alot of the hill climbers have it done. If I remember right I read somewhere on the forum that it works best if you don't extend it to the point of the axle being past the fender.
