Next project

Finally got time to start working on my next bike now that sled season is over. Picked up a 2010 KX250F(blown motor) putting a 03 KX 250 in it with a Eric Gorr 285BB Pro Circut works pipe and 304 shorty silencer.Stripped the poor doner 4 smoke down today put the engine and swingarm back in to measure up the spacers.Will try get some pics soon.Not a 500AF hope no one minds me posting here

Sounds like a good idea to me! What kind of riding will you use the bike for? Always wanted a BB set up for woods.

Mostly pit riding some trail use and the odd race Already have a 500AF/04 KX 250/ 08 KLX 450F hardest part will be picking one to ride!!

i put the jan de groot kx250 motor in a 2008 kxf frame if you need any info ,check out my post or pm me ta jerry

Cut the frame and cleaned up the peices no return for the 4smoker now :lol:I like to think we are freeing the world of 4strokes on bike at a time :-D

rails look good, only see a bit of crimping before the radius. what did you use to bend them?

I used a Ercolina CE40 MR3 Angle roller with 6061 tube

ive been asking local shops around here and no one has square dies for some reason.

I didn't use square dies just the flat part of small diameter pipe die. If bent with light pressure and run it through slowly it will not crush the tube

any ideas on how your going to make a headstay to frame bracket?
i havent gotten to that point, but cant see an un cluttered way to do it really.

I am waiting on a piece of 2" billet. I am going mill it down to fit up into the frame tube and weld it to the headstay. I'll post some pics when I get the billet
