Hi! New Aussie KX250 Owner
« on: June 10, 2012, 10:43:17 PM »
Hi everyone,
Just picked up a reasonably rough '85 KX250D1. This will be the first Kawaski resto for me. Back when I was a kid, my first ever new bike was an '85 KX80E3 - must be something with those '85 models :?.

I will have lots of questions to ask (and parts to look for too) as I set about making this look like brand new again. Not too many around down here in Aus. I will post up some pics of it shortly.

Cheers
Adam

Welcome Adam,

Got any pics of the KX?? If Anyone can help with your resto i think you have found the right place. Seems to be alot of new fellow Aussies on this forum which is great too. Look foward to seeing how the resto goes!!!
Cheers

Welcome mate,
Were you based.
i found it near impossible to get chit for my 87 500, the local Kawasaki shop had no listings for 1992 & down.
Yes that's an Aussie dealer no part lists or info for the old bikes.
Hello USA, their a good mob.
Join a VMX club, i did that & through there network i was off & running.
Good luck, & nothing beats the feeling of turning up to the track on a clean old school bike & letting her ripp.
