It's amazing how fast he is, especially for someone who doesn't normally ride a two stroke.  I would love to see him race against some other pros on two strokes.

In my experience you don’t want to cut that bridge out. That’s what let’s you run a huge exhaust and not snag a ring.

On really high effort snowmobile engines you need to actually chamfer the piston edge as well so it does not scuff the port.

The new ring idea is very interesting but i think it will still scuff pistons. There are different forces at play driving the system with the crank instead of the piston
