"Kawrider"
« on: June 09, 2012, 07:37:28 AM »
I know my thread "HELP" was moved but wanted to give everybody an update. Paul called this morning and even though he promised one motor to be done by the end of May, it was not (too busy). So I asked him to ship back both motors including the parts I paid for, including 1 new set of cases and 1 new crank. He said he needed a week so I'm looking for two weeks to get here and then start all over for the third time. I have been waiting three years for these motors to be rebuilt/ 1 1/2 years with Stewart (totally screwed me over) and 1 1/2 years with Kawrider (to be determined) . I'll probably be eligible for getting Social Security by the time they'll be ready to ride.

To Be Continued.............

Can you rebuild it yourself? After the first fiasco I would have done it myself or sent it out to a reputable company. Eric Gore, Pro Circuit etc. I have a hard time trusting anyone any more after reading about the nightmares that some members on here have been through!
A couple of 03 and 04 KXs, a few YZs, 3 PE 400s, a DR and a TS.

Wanted to get a "third party" to back me up after Stewart. Kaw Rider has been on this forum for a while and very knowledgeable. Paul did a great job of documenting the crap job that Stewart did. Didn't think it would backfire like this. You make a great point that I want to warn others to beware if they are trying to tap into some of the talent on this forum.

It seems that Larry Weichman, compression release guy, is on the up and up. I just scored another head for my 500 and plan to send it to him sometime this year. Its a shame that so many have had issues with others that offer services on this site. If the person knows that they cant do the job in a timely fashion then they shouldnt offer their services! Barring any personal issues ofcourse. A courtesy call would be nice just to keep the customer up to speed.

My experience with Kawrider has always been first class.
He did some machine work for me that was flawless.
Sorry you have had problems.
I'm sure you won't have any trouble getting your parts back.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

I realize it was not meant for me. I had posted the 'joke' question I referred too and it was removed with "Yes" in it's place. Too funny! Still makes me laugh.

I believe Kaw Rider is a good guy. I think the problem is his business is good an he needs to work it as we all do. This is a hobby & for him too. He's very smart and I hope he continues to share his knowledge on this forum. He just bit of more than he can chew and I'm sure he'll make it right.

Well it's July 2nd almost another month gone by and was suppose to get a package today. After tracking all day found out it was delivered an hour south to a different address. Called Paul "Kawr Rider" to find out he mixed up my tracking number (apparentley ships alot of stuff besides mine) and couldn't really tell me what day the one motor will be delivered. He "may" get to sending the other motor by Friday. I asked him for some consideration and please "make the time to gather up the parts and ship them out". Still waiting.........
