pressing a crank

How wide do you press a crank? Measured between the crankbearings
Mine is now 55.65mm, think it must be 55.75 - 55.85mm.

I know that the connecting rod side clearance is 0.40-0.50mm.

I Loaned my Clymer and don't have all the specs.
Next time I won't be loaning my Clymer  :x

1985 - 2004 Kawasaki KX 500
Connecting Rod:
Big End Bearing (mm): 26x33x22
Big End Bore (mm): 33.00
Big End Width (mm): 21.97
Center To Center (mm): 145.00
Pin Diameter (mm): 26.00
Pin Length (mm): 54.40
Small End Bearing (mm): 19x24x25
Small End Bore (mm): 24.00
Small End Width (mm): 21.97
Washer Thickness (mm): 1
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Thanks Sandblaster, only I ment the witdh of the crank halves.
And is there a size for crankshaft end play??
I have 1.25mm play, my raceshop says 0.1-0.15 play is good. Else it will vibrate much.
Should I shim it out?

The Connecting Rod Big End Radial Clearance:
.034-.047mm.....Service Limit .10mm
.0013-.0018".....Service Limit .04"

Connecting Rod Side Clearance:
.40-.50mm......Service Limit .70mm
.016-.020".....Service Limit .028"
