looks like you've got some time and effort in those rides Polar.....they look near showroom!!
Is that a Kerker I see on the Kawi,or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Nope, the GPz's exhaust is oem. It says "Kawasaki" on the muffler. I restored both bikes to mint OEM, the GSXR needed to most work, and $$ invested, it was pretty trashed but restorable. The GPz was in much better condition just needed some OEM parts, and a LOT of cleaning and polishing.

Nice looking bikes! Saw this one for sale locally. Tempting...

"all stock" ??  Aftermarket grips ? Aftermarket FMF silencer ? Stickers added to the side number plates ? Less than 5 hrs ?  That seller is a bull$hitter...

Not to mention only ridden to church by an old lady! Missed everything you mentioned. As I was not seriously interested I obviously did not look very closely. Just saw a pretty bike!

sounds good!...let me know when.
The 03 Polaris XC7-X is a sweet sled....the guy I ride with had one,and he still says it was one of the best sleds he ever owned.Mine's an 02 800-X,little on the "heavy" side,it's only got about 5K on it,but even with the REVs being out for 10 years now...I still can't get past how ugly they are, even though they ride incredible.

My 700 is loaded , E/S, reverse, M10, (it's an old mans go fast sled)  LOL  .  I worked for a Ski-Doo dealer for about 12 years and demo'd many ZX chassis doos, and those 800's were brutal on torque. Too much for me, as I would get tired when riding aggressive. I love my 700, perfect balance of power and comfort! Tried a REV for a weekend, no thanks, the wide tunnel and awkward fixed riding position was NOT for me...

Oh Man I could really give that GS a great home. My first street bike was a 82 gs1100ez. Suzuki built something amazing when they made that one. I'd really like to get another some day & Big Bore stroke it clear out & put it on a newer suspension. One of those you go "I REALLY should'nt have got rid of that" kicked myself so many time's. Bought it in 98 for $300. Had like 20,000 on it. Aghhh still sick
if I only had a pair, I could actually ride this thing

& to the people I like  FYYFF

"Old mans go fast sled"...that's good!! Absolutely nothing wrong with having a loaded sled....there's been times I wish I had reverse,or electric start. The black and yellow is sweet, you don't see them often in that scheme.Mines all stock except V-force reeds and a brand new Ice Ripper Hacksaw track 1 1/4" lug.Yeah it rips from 0-80...4 seconds flat....and a total of 7 seconds to hit 100.I had it doing 110 on the gas line trail between Lancaster and Twin Mountain in 09,but that was all I could wring out of it.

Sounds like a plan!

LOL...yeah I always feel like I just trained for a marathon after a days ride....but,the average speed is 60-80(where applicable),and the occasional 90-100,and we're always riding like we're in a full blown race....I'm sure you can relate to what I mean!  :-D

*Edit*...I forgot to mention I run an MBRP can too....so I stay away from Pittsburg!!...E.P's up there FROWN on loud exhaust. :x

My 700 is mostly stock, I tweaked the jetting (leaner) , tweaked the clutching a bit, and I have a Ice Ripper 1.25" as well. My sled handles loose but I can't add studs to my track so I just deal with it. My engine runs perfect, I just have to be a little carefull in 15F temps and colder on the lake. Can't hold my throttle WO for long stretches. I get almost 12 mpg if i'm easy on the throttle.

I've thought about trying to lean out my jetting a little, the reason I have'nt is back in the 80s I had a couple of Yamaha SRV's...an 83 and an 89...I tried leaning each of em out a little, but I lost performance on both of them. The stock settings were best,so I've just left it stock on the MXZ.If I had the ability to be easy on the throttle I could get about 12mpg too,but lol...when you've waited 8 months to hit the trails again, the adrenaline takes over and you're pissin off every groomer operator around.I can't install studs in my track either(pre-studded),and mine gets loose too,but I actually prefer it better. The original track had 144 1" picks, and it stuck too much, take a corner real hard/fast and it felt like it could throw you off. :-o

What's with all this sled talk on a dirt bike forum?

I ride a 1998 Yamaha SRX700. I absolutely love it. Mostly stock except an M10 suspension.

As far as bikes and such I haven't had too many and still have my second street bike I ever got. A 1979 KZ650. Currently riding a 2000 BMW K1200RS.

Nice stuff you guys have.

lol...it started from a couple pics we had posted,I don't think Polar or me expected it to become a sled thread, just kinda fell into one.I'd love to see a pic of that 79 KZ....although probably should post it in "My Other Bike"....seeing how I kinda let this thread get way off course  :?
