works connection skid plate

I just recieved my wc skid plate should I use the foam that comes with it,seems like it will trap all the dirt.what do most of you guys do with it.

Mine is in a land fill. I hear some extra noise bouncing off the skid plate but you get used to it. It really makes the 4 stroke motors noisy especially at low RPMs... 2 strokes not as much.

When I bought my 5 used it had a skid plate. Too much debris kept getting jammed in the plate. I ended up taking it off. Much better in my situation. If you're a hard core rock and stump jumper, keep the plate, if just a casual play/mx'er  don't run one. The purpose of the foam is to keep out mud.
