Central Utah riding west of Richfield

I've been threatening for awhile to post some pics of the riding around here. This is part of the paiute atv trail system, one big ass riding area. From hill climbing, 2 motocross tracks no fee not groomed though, back country atv only stuff for 48" wheelbase & less, high alpine pine & aspen forest. You can even ride in town on designated city streets.

Great pics 81cr450. When I drive south to Vegas I scope that area, have seen lots of atv tv shows about riding the Piute. i'm trying to plan an early fall ride this year and get it done. The land of Butch Cassidy

Seriously I'd be happy to show anyone around who want a guided tour. As long as my bikes not puked  . The atvers show up on their quads & miss so much of the bike stuff, hardly anyone but us locals even ride alot of the trails, purely cause its bike only type stuff.

The riding is anything from hill climbing clay hills to red rock boulders to alpine pine forest right up to mountain goat terrain where trees dont grow anymore. Just tell me what kind of trail you want to ride. My wife actually just suggested we could probably throw together a dutch oven dinner to work our way to on the ride.

I'm pretty much good with any type of terrain and I'm fairly fast until I crash!  I'm liking your idea of summer and escaping the heat around here in Vegas! I think we should do this! I could probably get a couple of more riders together if that would be OK? I'll definately keep this in mind and will contact you as we get closer to summer!

the area I live in, (nottinghamshire) the biggest hills we have are grass planted former coal slag tips. your end looks ace......

I live just north from there, but have only been once in my entire time living here. I need to go down and check it out again. Those pictures are awesome though!

The pics dont even do it justice , my picture taking ability is  . Just doesnt give you a clear view of the size. There is nothing like really loading a 500 up a hill. This is all from the rocky side of the valley. I'll try to get some more of some of the other areas.

Does the rear tire, in the first pic, work well in that terrain?  What kind/ size is it?

140 80 18 Best price is Mandhtires. My all time favorite tire. Some whine about the weight but I aint doing motoX. Its like a big ol scoop shovel. Looks like they are finally making it in a 19" too but its skinnier. The trails around here get pretty chewed up , loose powdery stuff & you gotta be able to dig to the bottom or float over it. They were made in china for a few but they're back in the USA being made by TSL, the super swamper guys,  I believe. I'd like to try a skat track custom paddle but I ride on pavement going to the trails & work and dont think that'd be very doable

Thanks for the reply and link.

I run the same size(140/80/18) but in a Pirelli Scorpion.  I think that it is alright, but I ride in a similar terrain and it is going fast.  Maybe the next one will be the same as your's.
