Can newer clutch covers work on older models?
« on: April 08, 2012, 02:49:27 AM »
I was wondering if the clutch cover from an 89 KX5 will fit on an 87 KX5? They gaskets are the same part number. Thanks

Yep.
And lo, I did loft the front wheel and carried it forth to the unbelievers, and cast it down before them and said unto them ''look now upon the might of my throttle control ye pitiful cretinous ones''
And the unbelievers did quake in their boots....

the lower water spiggot is round on the older models, rectangular after, just make sure you have one for the cover you're changing to

not sure about the 87, but some of the older years  had different KIPS actuation arms, no issues as long as you use the one for the year of cylinder
