triple clamps
« on: March 09, 2012, 10:26:26 AM »
I picked up a 97 kx125 not to long ago, and have been trying to find a set of aftermarket triple clamps.  I dont like the cast in bar mounts, but dont just want to change the upper.  The problem is that I cant find an after market lower for the 125/250.  I did find one for the 500 thouh for a 97 and up.  Would that work?

Hello.
Measure your clamping diameter the compare to this KX500 Chart, you will need to scroll to the right to find the fork info:

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Thanks for the link.  Lots of good info on there.  I figured that the fork  would fit in the clamp, but wasnt sure if the offset was the same?  That and if the stem hole was the same size or not? The clamping area is only a 0.1mm difference in diameter,  so that shouldnt be a problem.
