thanks gosh hope its not the CDI, just replaced all the electronics with a brand new second hand ebay set.

because the shop here said the CDI had gone as i was getting no spark,

Does the bike tick over normally. Do you ride it hard or are you mostly going at slower speeds like trail riding etc. My KX does exactly the same, or did. If you're not using the bike at race speeds and revs they can oil up quite quickly. Try a number 7 plug and see how you go, also try dropping the needle a notch as well.
