Lets talk spark plugs ladys and gentlemen...

(doesnt just have to be in relation to your K5)...   but try to stick to motorsports based..


Personaly I only run NGK in ALMOST everything... for some reason my old husqvarnas like the Gold paladium Champion plugs...

iridiums in my 4Stroke KTM

in my old hondas.. they get standard plugs...





Reason I bring this thread up ... I was cross refferancing a plug for my ktm to the iridium version.. and these videos popped up..

As a collector of Old vintage spark plugs... I find things like this interesting... alot of the ideas are in my "vintage" on the wall case from the EARLY years (teens and twentys)

Yeah I have an old tungsten tractor spark plug in the little tin case and its crazy how much those things go for!

I run NGK in everything I can. E3's in my dd truck, Platinum's in my bogger, ES or EG's in my 2 strokes, My ninja ran like crap on Iridium so changed back to standard NGK.

Bosh has also been a good brand for me on occasion.

I'm interested in those PowerStar plugs. Anyone ever use them before? Seems like those would be the most efficient plugs yet.

Im running NGK br10eg atm, I was using br9eg before but switched to 10's as they are recommended.
Agreed, those Powerstar plugs look far superior!

I don't waste my time with expensive bling race plugs. Again, i'm just an average weekend bike beater, so I could potentially foul a standard BR8EG $5 or a $12 go-fastest plug, i'll stick to fouling cheap plugs. IMO plug performance is more directly related to proper crisp jetting, than swapping plugs to alter performance. Now that I have a good understanding of jetting, I can't even remember that last time I fouled a plug..
