Anyone doing KDX head & Cylinder Mods?
« on: February 04, 2012, 04:28:11 PM »
Looking to see if anyone would do some mods to a head and cylinder for my 91 KDX200. Looking for a higher compression ratio. So milling, reshaping the dome, re-cut squish, and maybe porting? Open to other suggestions as well. Just trying to squeeze some more power out. Nothing too elaborate but can be talked into it pretty easy lol. Trying to keep the stock bore size so if it needs bored out I can. Don't like boring just because, it needs to be a must.

In case some of you don't know I put a KDX200 engine in a Suzuki Quadracer frame. Thread in the KDX section. Does pretty good for being less cc's than what came in it. It does have more hp than the LT250R engine according to every source I checked out. Kaw is always king. I'm going to play around with gearing but as of now I can get 1st and 2nd gear wheelies easily, 3rd is difficult and 4th-6th is a no go. Currently running 14/42. Ordered a 12 and 13 tooth front to see what I like better. Still would like to see what I can get out of the engine.

It's hard to keep a drivers license riding a 2 stroke dirt bike on the street.  If you drive within the law they are VERY boring.
