ATK intimidator
« on: January 01, 2012, 02:55:14 PM »
so after finding the build of the 700 using the husaberg frame i looked around and found the maico 700 and the ATK 700.

13K    for the 78HP 685cc  ATK  and that is an 09 model. now  i dont know about you folks but im thinking  that other than the fact you would have a brand new bike i might spend my money on the RPM mfg KX640.     for 3700  you get an engine that is supposed to be around 100hp.      not near as exotic but probably get the job done....................  most of us probably already have the other goodies the atk has to offer,  pro tapers,  fancy brakes, tuned suspension.

for the record im not any closer to a 4k engine than a 13k bike......but it does make one think doesnt it.

i did not find an actual bike. if you go on ATK website it says you basically have to order one and they will build it. again it listed 09 models so i dont know even they are even making any these days.

I've kept my eye out for one of these for 3 years and so far they are nonexistent (used).
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

there's an ATK dealer in Showlow, AZ.  I drive by it every now and again, but have never had time to stop.  I'm sort of dissappointed in the power of the 700cc motor.  I e-mailed back and forth a few years ago with the owner and he said that 78hp was at the crank.  That's about what a stock KX5 makes, maybe a little more...  I just don't feel it's worth that price tag, which is why I didn't pursue it any further.
