Tranny Oil

Just wondering what you guys use in your tranny.  The specs on my 99 calls for SE 10W30 or SE 10W40.  I've always used motorcycle gear oil in the 75 or 80 wt.  I know that 10W30 or 10W40 is supposed to work out to about an 80 wt oil so I don't think there will be any prbolems with my bike.  Never has in any other bike I owned but then again this is my first green one.  I've always had good results with Maxima so I'll probably stick with it.

down south thats fine but 40 to 50 straight weight is even better.  10-40 is for winter riding. Buy SAE 20-50 weight or a straight 40 weight SAE rated. Gear oil is the same as 40 weight. Buy regular oil otherwise bye bye clutch plates and rubber seals. no syn oil!
